Course Content

This course is ideal for those new to the Housing Sector needing to increase knowledge on housing standards, and those who need to be familiar with HHSRS. The course covers the principles of the HHSRS and how to link deficiencies and hazards, taking a detailed approach to the most common hazards.

The relationship between HHSRS and the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 is explored, as well as the responsibilities and timelines Social Housing Landlords will need to follow to be compliant with Awaab’s Law.

  • Understand the principles of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System
  • Recognise the hazards and harm ratings of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System
